Allegory Women's Leadership Program
Why Women?
Women have "outstanding verbal agility, the ability to connect deeply in friendship, a nearly psychic capacity to read faces and tone of voice for emotions and states of mind, the ability to defuse conflict", according to Louanne Brizendine, author of "The Female Brain." Allegory offers a women-only program to help target and amplify these strengths and perspectives that are unique to women. After the program, our alumna return to their organizations with greater influence - better able to make their organizations more successful.
*In a Catalyst study called "The Bottom Line: Corporate Performance and Women's Representation on Boards", Fortune 500 companies with the highest percentage of women and board membership performed significantly better financially than those companies with the fewest women: 53% higher return on equity, and 66% higher return on capital.
*A recent New York Times article argued that the financial crisis might have been averted if more women had been in charge.
Why Allegory?
The women of Allegory are passionate about increasing the role and influence of women in business, government and non-profits. They have devoted decades of their professional lives to building successful women's leadership programs and have helped literally hundreds of women win their first election to public office and the promotion of hundreds of women in their corporate, non-profit and government jobs.
